About Our Small Support Group

Our meetings are held once a month on the 3rd Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Congregational Church, 916 West Prospect Road, Fort Collins, Colorado. Our group is not just about meeting once a month, we also love to get together and have some fun! We have at least four social activities a year!

Our social activities have included participating in the Larimer County Fair Parade and CSU Homecoming Parade, BBQ at City Park with a train ride for the kids, visiting the pumpkin patch, meandering through a corn maze, visiting a farm and going on a hay ride and pony ride, and many others. The age range for kids in our group is mostly 0 to 5 years of age.

About Our Meetings

Our meetings are open and welcome to family members and friends of children with Down syndrome. Childcare is provided so that the whole family may attend.

We like to have speakers at some of our meetings, but not all. Our speakers vary from researchers, therapists to various activities and resources available for our children.

The tone of our meetings varies depending on the need of the families. Some nights the meetings are lighthearted and fun; but then there are other meetings where it is more serious. We like to know that we are there for each other through the good and the challenging!!
