May Volunteer of the Month honor is awarded to Parent Visitor, Terri Chuck. Terri has been a Parent Visitor since May 2004. The families that she has visited with as part of the Parent Visitation & Outreach Program are consistently grateful for the opportunity to work with Terri. She has a special way of sharing her experiences with families who are just starting out on this amazing yet unexpected journey.

Terri is a dedicated volunteer who truly cares about MHDSA's mission and vision. Her outreach to new parents on MHDSA's behalf is a valuable gift to the Down syndrome community.

Her fundraising efforts for Buddy Walk humble us all in such a sweet way. (For the record, Terri is the team captain for “Brice’s Buddy Brigade,” who has been the top fundraiser for Buddy Walk for the last two years.)
